DialAmerica Executive Richard Simms Elected President of American Teleservices Association New York Metro Chapter (May 08)

Simms’ Platform Aims to Build Relationships with Decision-Makers and Enhance
the Image of the Teleservices Industry

New York, NY (May 21, 2008) – DialAmerica today announced Richard Simms, Development Manager and a 26-year veteran has been elected President of the NY Metro Chapter of the American Teleservices Association (ATA). Simms will serve a 2-year term leading a board of 10 peers, more than 50 corporate members and hundreds of local individual members.

A founding member of the NY Metro Chapter, Simms previously served the group in other capacities such as Programming Chair, Secretary to the Board and Treasurer.
In his role as President, Simms will meet new challenges, including acting as the lead spokesperson for the NY Chapter as well as planning and executing member events, while working to enhance the image of the teleservices industry and its member companies.

“My goal as President is to build on the accomplishments of our previous leaders to deliver high-quality local events that educate and support our members. In addition, I’ll work to increase the visibility of the philanthropic work performed by the Chapter and its members. I would also like to see us reach out to local legislators and regulators to help them better understand the value of the teleservices industry at a grass-roots level,” Simms noted.

Ultimately though, Simms hopes to build the member base of the NY Chapter in order to continue dialogue and progression among industry leaders, policy makers and teleservices professionals.

“Leaders like Rich serve as evidence that our industry is thriving. He understands the importance of expanding our presence, and I look forward to seeing his contributions to the local chapter. Rich and his Board continue to host excellent networking events that bring value to members in the NY Metro area,” stated ATA CEO Tim Searcy.
