MADD Gives DialAmerica Award in Recognition of Ten Million Dollars in Direct Contributions for Licensing Revenue
MAHWAH, NJ, August 1, 2001 -- DialAmerica Marketing, Inc., the nation's largest
privately held telemarketer, today announced recognition by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
for DialAmerica’s contribution of more than $10 million to the grassroots, non-profit organization.
DialAmerica’s president, Arthur Conway, received an engraved award from Joseph J.LoSchiavo, chairman
of the MADD board, during a recent ceremony before 300 employees at DialAmerica’s New Jersey headquarters.
DialAmerica has partnered with MADD since September 1996 in a consumer magazine sales program.
During this five-year period, DialAmerica contributed over $10 million directly to MADD as licensing revenue.
For every paid magazine order designated to MADD, DialAmerica contributes 12 ˝ percent of the subscription
cost to them. DialAmerica also conducts a business-to-business fundraising program for MADD.
DialAmerica is MADD’s Largest Corporate Sponsor
At the ceremony, Mr.LoSchiavo said, “DialAmerica is MADD’s largest corporate donor. Three million dollars
a year goes a long way in educating the public about MADD’S mission. Every telephone call that DialAmerica
sales representatives make brings us closer to our goal of saving lives, preventing injuries and supporting
victims of drunk driving. If you can prevent one crash, you save a lot of heartache and tragedy.
The ten million dollars MADD has received from DialAmerica helped fund various educational and awareness
programs including two MADD National Youth Summits to Prevent Underage Drinking, school outreach programs
reaching high school, junior high and elementary-age students called Fake ID and Street Smarts, and the
promotion of legislation, including the “Zero Tolerance” legislation for youth and the federal measure to lower
the drunk driving limit to .08 percent blood alcohol concentration (BAC).
DialAmerica Marketing, Inc.
Established in 1957, DialAmerica has six divisions: Inbound & Interactive Services,
